Critics lining up to testify at Microsoft hearing
WASHINGTON (AP) — Lawmakers next week will scrutinize the Bush
administration's antitrust settlement with Microsoft and have invited some of
Microsoft's fiercest critics to testify. Consumer Federation of America
director Mark Cooper and Stanford University professor Lawrence Lessig
told The Associated Press they plan to testify. Industry officials said Red Hat
Software executive Matthew Szulik and venture capitalist and former
Netscape head Jim Barksdale also have been invited.
