Jerry Pournelle, who makes his living through the keyboard, decides to
let a monopolist dictate what kind of keyboard he uses and how he uses
it.

Well, you can't expect much from someone who calls a fairly common
keyboard layout -- common outside of Microsoft's sphere of influence,
that is -- the "Pournelle configuration."

I had a short, fruitless exchange with Mr. Pournelle a while back. This
time I'm just sending him the URL of the Web page I was doing research
