On Windows XP speed, or lack thereof

Linux is faster then Win2k and XP, but that's not the most interesting
thing. What I find most interesting is how much slower WinXP is then
Win2k. 'Look for the graphs.
Increased speed was one of the things MS hyped up the most during XP's
launch, too.
