It's so typical Microsoft to attempt to win in Court what they can't earn by
decent, honest means.
But also, Steve Jobs will soon discover that "when you sleep with scorpions,
you get stung." His "partnership" with Gates will be Apple's downfall.
Microsoft no longer needs Apple's existence.
Soon, Gerstner will feel the sting too. It's already happened somewhat when
MS made IBM's Java committment irrelevant and made IBM look foolish once
again. Soon, the guns will be aimed squarely at IBM's Linux committment.
The ammo will be any laws Gerstner broke when he agreed to abandon OS/2 and
"split the OS market." Gates is surely not above blackmail.
I must say, whatever that deal was between Gates and Satan, it seems that
Gates is coming out on top. So far...
