Reality check. Am I posting from some parallel universe? Are you
saying that Nader would say that the appointments, policies, executive
orders, legislation, and budgeting affecting ANY issue would have
even remotely resembled our recent history if Gore was elected?
If Nader came out and said that, I'd know it was a brain tumor that
caused him to stick it out in 2000.

>If, after the Bush victory, the Democrats had aggressively demanded
>that Bush live up to the moderate program he was "elected" under
>instead of veering far to the right,..............

And they would back up these demands with what exactly? Since when can
the minority party in the House DEMAND an agenda from the majority
party president? The senate is only marginally balanced to avoid a
rubber stamp. How does one demand integrity from a sitting president?

>... Where is Gore? Where is Clinton? Where are the Clinton Justice
>Department people who prosecuted this case?

Uh, unemployed?

>None of these may legitimately be laid at the feet of Ralph Nader.

Where do these absolutes come from?
I said that Nader contributed to the selection of Bush, which lead to
the undoing of much of Nader's past work.

>If the Democrats are that dissatisfied with the Bush administration,
>why don't they try LEADING a fight against it, instead of blaming
>their continuing inaction on Ralph Nader?

I wasn't aware that any one was explaining their current impotence
as Nader's fault.

YES! THIS IS WAR! But do go on calmly with your every day lives.
GO ON HIGH ALERT! But we aren't sure what you can actually DO to be
more alert.
STIMULATE THE ECONOMY! But sorry, we can't spare a dime to help just
any old body. Those highly profitable global corporations need it more.
LOOK FOR ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS! But please open your mail and pay those
bills on time.
REPORT YOUR SWARTHY NEIGHBOR! But remember, this is not a war on Islam.
WAVE THE FLAG! But don't wrap your spare tire in it to proclaim your
patriotism.

Time for practical suggestions, no?
