There hasn't been any good news out of this state for a
couple of months, but Tom Reilly will get my vote next
time. This is as good. A penny for Tom! (It's Guy Fawlkes
Day today for you history buffs)

"Massachusetts won't support a tentative settlement of the antitrust
case against Microsoft Corp. (Chart) unless it's rewritten to more
harshly penalize and place controls on the company, Attorney General
Tom Reilly warned yesterday.

[...]

" 'Massachusetts will not be signing off on the proposed agreement
without major changes, and I do not expect there will be major
changes,' Reilly said.

"He said the milestone deal struck last Wednesday between the
software titan and the federal government - a deal he believes
Microsoft will eventually manipulate to its advantage - has 'no teeth'
and 'is riddled with holes.' "
