While we're discussing supposedly misinterpreted statements by politicians, let us
be reminded of Newt Gingrich.
Newt never said he was miffed because he had to "sit in the back of Air Force One."
What Newt said was that he was angered because President Clinton, instead of using
the 9-hour flight back from Rabin's funeral to work out a budget agreement with the
Speaker and other Congressional leaders, spent his time playing cards in the front
of the plane. I believe the Pres. was playing "Hearts."
"Crybaby Newt" was one of the greatest distortions of all time, propagated by the
(Liberal) New York times.
And although I'm angered with the Bush Administration for the Microsoft sell-out, I
still prefer him to Gore overall.
