Well first, you quoted Declan's remarks, and Declan has no credibility as an unbiased
reporter, and second, I assume you are above average. Perhaps I was wrong though.......
Gore was one of the earliest political supporters of the internet. The internet existed
before that, but remember it was knitted together via Telebit Trailblazer 9600 BPS
modems....... I know... I was one of the members at the time. The local university
here (University of British Columbia (UBC)) had a direct connection to the
Earthquake centre (the original hub).
