I'm very split on this whole thing. Clearly, we were screwed as far as the
agreement went. This has to be the most toothless agreement I've ever seen. MS
broke the law - they say - just don't do it again. Weren't we here 7 years ago?
This is ridiculous. A 100 billion dollar fine will replace all of the resources
that were dedicated to this cause. The U.S. is going to end up footing the legal
bill for this ridiculous travesty MS caused.
Why I'm split is ever since GB was inaugurated I've been fighting the nagging
feeling that something like this could occur. I was truly hoping against all
hope that they wouldn't do this. And now in light of circumstances, not only can
they can get away with it, they will look just fine. Oh, I'm split because I've
resigned myself to just using Linux as letting the windows world get what it
deserves. I work in the windows world, but the world will change. As time goes
by, it's becoming more and more true. It's going to take years, but this is a
force MS will not be able to stop.
