On Monday 29 October 2001 07:21 am, John J. Urbaniak spake and saith:

too bad this list is degenerating so quickly. maybe it's just a way
to chase Cooke out of here.
Cooke can defend himself but once again: if you _cite_ words of
threat, you are not _using_ them to make a threat. it is fully
evident Cooke was trying to illustrate a point about the bin Laden
analogy (Microsoft is like the Taliban).
so no threat was made.
can someone just decide to _take_ something as a threat? can Cooke
just decide to take _Urbaniak's_ words as a threat? after all, if I
think you think I threatened you, maybe I'll take _your_ words as a
threat?
this is so dumb.
maybe people can take the threats and 'threats' off list and we can
get back to the normal madness? (maybe report back when the dust has
settled and we'll count who's left standing?)
and watch out what you say to me - I might take it as a threat!<g>
