I am neither a "Gore man" nor a "Nader man". If I was confident
that my vote could not make a difference in the Gove vs Bush
election, then I certainly would vote for Nader. But, as I have
said, late polls show the race much closer than I anticipated.

That is a valid concern which I share.
http://winwincampaign.org/ helped me sleep better.
When I logged on and said I was from Illinois and wanted to vote for Nader
I got a different message - Vote for Gore in your swing state of Illinois.
A Virginian would get:
A vote for NADER in Virginia, a Bush secure state, supports the WinWin
strategy. Keep voting for NADER!
I had heard the Illinois prediction from other sources so I had no trouble
taking the suggestion.
I "traded" with a Democrat in Texas so my Nader protest vote doesn't get
wasted and Bush gets no benefit.
I'm not a Gore man and I'm *really* not a Bush man.
Even though I think Nader may be the lesser of evils, since I share your
concern about harming Gore, or worse, helping Bush, or worse even further,
helping Gates, I traded.
Do I trust the fella to do the deal? Yup, but my risk is not as great as
yours.
Hope too many of the bad guys don't win tomorrow.
