Gene,
First of all, your personal attack on me is totally unwarranted.
Secondly, that last posting of yours takes the cake. The clueless reader
would interpret the text of your email as content from cluebot, and then the
cluebot posting is based on a study in which "trend lines were constructed
by eye" and California is considered a key battleground state.
Supposedly, I'm the one who doesn't have the facts straight, yet YOU CLAIM
THAT
Nader "is not on the ballot in the great majority of states"?
Let's leave it to the readers of this list to decide who's more credible,
and let this flame war die.
August: "Nader is already on the ballot in 38 states, and is expected to be
on in at least 45 states by Election Day."

I begin to suspect that, if it were (hypothetically) up to you, you'd prefer
to have Gore as President instead of Nader, and that's your real motivation
for your unsupported attacks and attempt to silence Nader supporters. Of
course you'll deny this. Yet you privately email me warning me that I'd
better stop supporting Nader on AM-INFO, and then you turn around and loudly
promote Gore on AM-INFO yourself.

Again, I'd like to reaffirm that the majority will vote in uncontested
states, where a vote for Nader is the only one that will really count. I'm
sorry that the facts don't mesh with your opinion, but I don't see what's
more obvious than the claim that a Nader supporter can safely vote for Gore
instead of Nader in states where the electoral college vote outcome is
consistently predicted by the polls, irrespective of Green party votes.
Besides, polls (surprisingly!) state that almost a third of Nader voters
would otherwise be voting for Bush!

VOTE. If you're in a state where the polls consistently show a winner,
please consider Nader.
