Thanks for pointing out Jef Raskin's site. I'll be going back for a read. 
But be careful about crediting Raskin as the creator of the Macintosh. 
Even on his site, he only takes credit for being the "creator of the 
Macintosh computer project," which is hardly the same thing. He managed 
the Mac project at the start, but left Apple well before the Mac was 
finished.
