I thought the reference to the Apple look-and-feel lawsuit was especially 
puzzling and inappropriate. First, this suit did not lead to the $150 
million investment -- the Quicktime patent infringement lawsuit did, many 
years later. Second, Gates' suggestion that it was a "waste of resources" 
is no more than a display of pinpoint accuracy hindsight. Gates came 
within a hair's breath of losing that one big time, and I'm fairly 
certain he knows it. The man is one awesome disinformation machine, 
that's for sure.
