Release from the CopySouth Research Group,      23 September 2009.

The CopySouth Research Group (CSRG), which was established in 2005 and has =
published its well-known Dossier in English and Spanish, is making two chan=
ges to its activities.

First, CopySouth is creating a new e-mail list for the discussion and debat=
e of copyright and related issues in the global South. It intends to connec=
t scholars, activists, artists, and government officials who take a critica=
l view of copyright for the global South and want to discuss these issues w=
ith others.

The listserv will function in both Spanish and English with the hope of add=
itional languages in the future. More information about the goals of the li=
stserv and CopySouth are available once you have subscribed.

El Grupo de Investigaci=F3n Copy South (CSRG por sus siglas en ingl=E9s), q=
ue se estableci=F3 en 2005 y ha publicado su reconocido Dossier en ingl=E9s=
 y espa=F1ol, est=E1 haciendo dos cambios a sus actividades:

Primero, CopySouth est=E1 creando una nueva lista de discusi=F3n y debate p=
or correo sobre el derecho de autor y los temas relacionados en el Sur glob=
al. Intenta conectar acad=E9micos, activistas, artistas, y funcionarios p=
=FAblicos que tengan una mirada cr=EDtica al Derecho de Autor y temas relac=
ionados para el Sur global.y quiere discutir estos temas con otros.

La lista de discusi=F3n funcionar=E1 tanto en espa=F1ol como en ingl=E9s co=
n la esperanza de que pueda incluir otros idiomas en el futuro. M=E1s infor=
maci=F3n acerca de las metas de esta lista y de CopySouth estar=E1 disponib=
le una vez se suscriba.
