Daily calendar for Ambassador Ron Kirk

Using the U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), KEI has obtained the
daily schedule of Ambassador Kirk, from March 20 to May 1, 2009. KEI
has separately asked the USTR to routinely as a matter of transparency
post this information on the USTR web page.

KEI will be soon issuing FOIA requests for similar information from
other key members of the Administration, and we encourage others to do
so. Under US FOIA laws, if an agency receives three requests for the
same documents, they are required to put the data on their own web
page. Ideally, this could become routinely disclosed, not through
FOIA, but as part of a general policy on openness.
