    SUMMARY: The United States Copyright Office (Copyright Office) and the
    United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) seek comment on the
    topic of facilitating access to copyrighted works for ``blind or
    persons with other disabilities''

It is strange that the PTO is involved in a copyright matter.  Does
anyone know why?  I wonder if the PTO wants to muscle in on copyright
law and redefine itself as an "intellectual property" agency.

Such a change would be harmful, just as the creation of congressional
subcommittees named "intellectual property" in the 1980s was harmful.
