Robert and all,

  This is my understanding as well, but I do not have first hand
knowledge of such.  If true, clearly such demonstrates that
Bookshare or the publishers/authors are not taking already
available and reliable technological steps to protect those
works.  As such than, they are abrogating that responsibility
onto governments and therefore the public to protect these
works.  FWIW, I don't feel like my tax dollar is being well
spent in providing such protection, and in fact find doing so
an additional tax on me that I had so say in what so ever.

  I have no problem with "Social DRM" per say, as long as a
citizen I have allot of direct input to what is and what is not
expectable "Social DRM".  Social morays and beliefs very
greatly across my country, as I am quite sure they do in many
other countries or regions of the globe.
