Dear friend

It is a great pleasure to invite you to register for the annual
iCommons Summit taking place this year in Sapporo, Japan from 29th
July to 1st August. With participation by pioneers of the free
Internet from over 60 countries around the world, this year's
Summit is set to be one of the most exciting events for creative
and knowledge commons pioneers from around the world.

Inspired by Japanese innovation and hosted in a city fast becoming
recognised for its modern, creative, technology-orientated
approach to business and public initiatives - this year's iSummit
will be a ground-breaking event that showcases pioneering
approaches to furthering digital culture around the world.

With a focus on working collaboratively to create tangible,
practical goals and strategies for projects around the world,
this year's iSummit has been divided into parallel tracks related
to open education, cultural industries and open business, local
digital publishing and public sector innovation and the Japanese
digital culture movement.

It will also feature keynote addresses from some of the world's
leaders in new thinking around digital culture and models for peer
production and open innovation; research into new models of
intellectual property policy and the analysis of the free
culture movement.

community showcasing their ideas and inviting participation in key
projects, this year's Summit is proving to be a must-attend event
for anyone engaged in the growth and development of the digital
commons of the future.
