Locating the power of in-between: how research brokers and intermediaries s=
upport evidence-based pro-poor policy and practice
1 - 2 July, 2008
Pretoria, South Africa
Organisers: The Human Science Research Council, South Africa and the Instit=
ute of Development Studies, UK
 "Locating the power of in-between" will shine a spotlight on the role of r=
esearch brokers and intermediaries and the contribution they can make to su=
pporting and enabling evidence-based pro-poor policy and practice.
The conference will bring together over 100 people from around the world in=
cluding research brokers, knowledge and information intermediaries, info-me=
diaries, research producers and those involved in policy and practice. To e=
nable the widest participation, there is no registration fee, however the c=
