Job description
The Institute has a position available for a (junior) researcher to
work on an ongoing research project on Open Content licensing. IViR is
legal partner of Creative Commons NL, which has received substantial
funding from the Dutch Ministry of Culture for a variety of Open
Content related activities, including legal research.

Requirements
Required education/skills:University Graduate

law degree
good knowledge of copyright law, neighbouring rights law and database
law
knowledge of open source/open content licensing
experience in legal research and writing
excellent writing, editing and communicative skills
fluency in English and knowledge of other European language(s)

Conditions of employment
Employment basis: Temporary for specified period
Duration of the contract: see below
Additional conditions of employment:
One year with the possibility of extension of appointment. A part-time
appointment is also possible. Based on a full-time appointment, the
gross monthly salary will be in accordance with the University
regulations for academic personnel, and will range from =80 2330,-
(salary scale 10) up to a maximum of =80 4.868,- (salary scale 12).

The intended starting date for this position is September 1, 2008.
