Alan, "Freie Software. Zwischen Privat- und Gemeineigentum" came out
in 2002 simultaneously in print and here:
http://freie-software.bpb.de.
It has been re-published on various free software and educational CDs
and even on an internal server of the German military. The second
print run came out in 2004, ans it's still today one of the most-sold
titles of the publisher which is not a commercial company but the
German Federal Office for Civic Education that sells the book for a
handling charge of 2 Euros. For harder data I would have to ask them
for their sales and downloads.

Looking forward to your list of examples.

Thanks,
Volker
