Hello,

I would like to ask the copyrigth experts on the list: do you know of
a single case of a living European musician benefiting from what he or
she made close to 50 years ago? Does this (rhetoric) question gives a
good argument against the copyright extension proposal?

What about saying (also for rhetorical purposes only) that it would
only be possible to accept the seriousness of a moral case of such a
proposal if the extension would be limited to the original authors
only and not any copyright holder? Would that make sense in terms of
law? (Of course I am not suggesting that this would be a good
alternative proposal...)
