We recently learned that the Senate Appropriations bill containing the
language we support which directs the NIH to change its public access
policy so that participation is mandatory for NIH-funded researchers
will
be voted on by the Senate next week (October 9 12). (Reported in the CQ
TODAY MIDDAY UPDATE from Sept. 27, 2007 - available only to
subscribers).
Background is at http://www.taxpayeraccess.org/NIH.html.

If you have not yet written to your Senator, please do so as soon as
possible and no later than end of day Friday, October 5th.

Visit http://www.taxpayeraccess.org/nih/2007senatecalltoaction.html

your Senator now.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me.

All best,

Jennifer
