dear benoit,

i was curious about the claim you made below that the DCOS mission
statement is "not consistent with mainstream software industry views on
interoperability and standards". on what basis do you make this claim?
is this only your personal, private opinion - which is what i must
assume, unless you contradict me - or is an official BSA position with
the full support of the BSA membership?

i would also like to note that the DCOS mission statement is not a Sun
Microsystems mission statement, as implied by you, or indeed a statement
by any other company. it is a statement drafted (and agreed to,
publicly) by various participants under the multi-stakeholder process
following the guidelines of the IGF. the DCOS was acknowledged as among
the most active and earliest to form dynamic coalitions within the IGF
framework.
