We've broken for lunch and the WIPO Secretariat has just made
available the draft conclusions from this week's Special Session of
the SCCR. It recommends that the WIPO General Assembly postpones the
Diplomatic Conference to November/December 2007
There are (at least) two other items of interest:
1. A draft recommendation for the WIPO General Assembly to have "all
the parties" lay the foundation for the modern framework of
protection for broadcasting organizations, cablecasting organizations
and webcasting organizations.
2. A draft recommendation to the WIPO Director General to convene a
session for joint analysis of notions, terms and conceptual basis of
hte instrument in September 2007.
