Dear all
Thanks for the many replies.
I was on a deadline
will get back to you individually
you asked for more information about my a2k related projects
briefly:
- i think the issue at this stage about copyright is taking up a lot
of energy and not going anywhere fast, the fact is that many many
individuals and organisations are already opening up their
content/information for public access, so I concetrate on what's
available already, although I think some stuff is not in the open yet,
but it should be
Basically I think that by now many people understand the value and importance of
a2k principles, as broadly understood
- I am working on some projects related to open source emergency
response, and one of the problems there in creting the software
architecture is that a lot of industry information
especially terminology, essential to develp the semantic layer of our
systems and make the software work in SOA related environments, is not
published or not publicly accessible
I am working on creating an 'open semantic framework for emergency
response' that defines concepts and vocabulary that can be
accepted/used by all organisations. The process is collaborative, have
specs if someone is interested and I shall publish them soon
- by the same token, I feel the need/desire to start mapping the a2k
effort, and creating a defintion and semantic framework for what is
an a2k project.
Is a school which opens up the curriculum for online
use an a2k project? even if it doesnt explicitly say so?
what defines and a2k project exactly?
then maybe we can start compiling directory of initiatives in the
respective regions, and
concert efforts accordingly,
havent revised all the materials received yet, will do shortly
anyone interested in working together on this, please get in touch!
I will post my notes as soon as I have something coherent
cheers
