[A2k] DRM- Change of industry approach?

Two interesting links in this weeks digest from EFF on DRM which shows the
industry change in arguments from protection against privacy to enabling
business models ( as activists have been saying all along!)

As Ed Felten points out what has this got to do with copyright?   It
raises the question about whether it is appropriate for DRMS to continue
to be protected by and largely governed by copyright legislation, which
tends to exclude proper competition/consumer law oversight.
