Boehringer Ingelheim notifies health professionals about the potential
effect that VIRAMUNE (nevirapine) may have in patients taking chronic
methadone maintenance therapy. VIRAMUNE may decrease plasma concentrations
of methadone by increasing its hepatic metabolism. A copy of the letter may
