Congressional Black Caucus votes

Here is a list of Congressional Black Caucus members, and how they voted
and demonstrated their support for three important issues relating to
the USTR dispute with South Africa over compulsory licensing and
parallel imports of pharmaceuticals.

The Letter to Barshefsky refers to whether the Representative signed a
Feb. 2, 1998 letter to USTR Charlene Barshefsky from 47 Congressmen
urging the Administration to "pursue all appropriate actions" to repeal
the South African Medicines Act that authorizes compulsory licensing and
parallel imports.

The Sanders Amendment refers whether the Representative voted for an
amendment to H.R. 2415 that prohibits interference with intellectual
property law relating to pharmaceuticals in Africa or Asia (Including
Israel) that is compliant with TRIPS.

AGOA refers to whether the Representative voted for the African Growth
and Opportunity Act (H.R. 434).
