4. Japan Bioindustry Association Say No to Patents on DNA Fragments
On April 7, 1999, the Japan Bioindustry Association, which represent
300 major Japanese corporations, 60 research institutes, and 1500
individual
members, submitted its opinions on the issue of patenting DNA fragments.
