Patent for Abbott's Norvir protease inhibitor: invention supported by NIAID contract AI27220



According to the US Patent on NORVIR, a HIV protease inhibitor sold by
Abbott,
the invention was funded by NIAID grant AI27220, making the drug
subject to the US compulsory licensing provisions of 35 USC 203 (the
