Yale holds d4T patent, invention funded by NIH Grant CA-28852



This is from the d4T patent, which is held by Yale University, and
licensed to Bristol-Myers Squibb.  d4T is a very important HIV drug,
that is used in low end HIV cocktails.  It is one of the key drugs for
compulsory licensing.   As indicated on the patent application, the US
government funded this invention with NIH Grant CA-28852, and has
certain rights to the invention, including Bayh-Dole "March-In" rights
under 35 USC 203.
