Anthropomorphizing the Corporation
Dear Mr. St. John;
I read with some amusement your article on "Anthropomorphizing the
Corporation." May I suggest you go out and start a business, a corporation,
in the interest of gaining some firsthand knowledge of how the corporate
world actually works. Perhaps it would do some good in enlightening you as
to how business actually works, and how wealth is created. (Hint: It is NOT
a zero sum game, as your obvious premises imply). Of course, to do that,
you will have to work very hard. VERY hard. Probably 100 hours a week or
more, for a year or two, to get it off the ground. You will also have to
take some big risks. Personal risks. But if you could ever bring yourself
to do it, my guess is that you would find it immensely rewarding in every
way (even if you didn't make any money at it). And you would find that many
if not most of the assertions in your article are not only wrong, they are
abysmally wrong.
