Trenton NC Mayor Joffree Leggett told The Free Press of Kinston that
if blacks were working together in a store, "within a few years,
they'd be stealing from each other and they'd be out of business."
"They're not leaders," he said in a story published Wednesday. "A
black man would rather work for a white person."
