My point was very simple and does not require expansion or explanation. 
This list is about the privacy of the medical record, and not about
healthcare policies in general, Medicare, Social Security, whether HMOs
are good or bad, or the advisability of selling Viagra over the
Internet.  

I subscribe to topic lists assuming that people know what the topic is
and pretty much sticking to it.  Or, let's just call this list
"med-anything".
