Spoke to the NJ Dept of Insurance Enforcement Office.
The person I spoke with suspects that this has been
initiated somehow because of the new pariety law soon
to take effect. Not sure how it came about and want
to see Rider. The Department's position was that
insurance companies can have input to protect
unreasonable charges and to discuss referrals with
physicians. No known policy that by-passes
physician's role. Hopefully a mistake was made by the
company.
