                  [Citizen Advocacy Center]

         The Citizen Advocacy Center (CAC), Washington, D.C.,
         provides training, research, conferences and
         networking for health care institutions¹ public
         members and consumer representatives. These
         institutions include professional licensing boards,
         managed care plan boards and advisory committees,
         Quality Improvement Organizations, and other health
         care oversight bodies. Created in the mid-1980s, CAC
         incorporated in January, 1994 as a not-for-profit

         501(c)(3) organization.

         CAC offers subscriptions to a quarterly publication
         entitled Citizen Advocacy News & Views, convenes
         conferences and produces research reports on public
         policy issues and topics of current and practical
         concern to board members, holds an annual conference
         in early November, and conducts specially tailored
         training seminars for states, regulatory bodies, and
         others.
