Dunhill To Sponsors Vietnam Soccer With
 $14.4 Mln - Report

 Dow Jones Newswires

HANOI (AP)--Dunhill, a brand under British American Tobacco PLC
(U.BRT), will provide the Vietnam Football Federation with $14.4 million
in sponsorship money over the next five years, local papers reported
 Wednesday.

The money will go to organize three yearly football events in Vietnam and
pay for a foreign coach for the national football team, the Youth newspaper
 said.

The sponsorship deal will be the second between Dunhill and the VFF.

The agreement is expected to be signed next week between the federation
and Strata, a sports consulting firm operating on behalf of Dunhill.

The deal will provide the federation with $800,000 in 2000 and larger
amounts in the following four years, Youth said.

Dunhill has been VFF's sponsor since 1995 with an annual budget of
 $470,000.

A VFF official would only confirm Wednesday that the federation is in
contact with Strata to negotiate a new deal, but added they would
announce it when an agreement is reached.
