There
was a posting re: proposed trash-energy incinerator for Twin Mountain, NH. This
one sounds like a beaut! 600 tons a day with a real bargain for those in a
2,000' radius of the monster-electricity at 6 cents a kilowatt! They'll need the
savings for their medical costs! The plan is to burn NY and NJ garbage. Fresh
Kills is on the way! Someone is willing to sell 1,000 adjoining acres of
clear-cut land in Wakefield for a sludge stockpile. Nice group! My understanding
is this burner is being dismantled in North Carolina and moved to Twin Mountain
to be reassembled. Did it collapse in the recent flooding? If Twin Mountain
doesn't go for the deal, guess there's a backup plan for Littleton, NH. They're
being promised $425K in taxes. Wait until they read the fine print in the
contract and find out the town's paying the taxes for the waste industry. That's
the deal they worked here! If you want to talk with somebody who's been there
and is still there: jj@TurboNt.net.
