UNITS A by UNITS B

Dear listers,
Every time I read pg/kg/d, or USD/g/mo, or similar indications, it
disturbs me. Mathematics basics tells us that pg/kg/d = pg.d/kg.
So, in order to put things straight, what about indicating
pg.kg-1.d-1
? At least, everybody would read the same thing. Iwould not drop the dots.
In the same order of idea, I use dots to separate units from decimals, and commas to separate groups of 3 units, e.g. 1,234.456,789.
Do you agree on thes ISO pretty old recommendations?
