>Yesterday, Thursday Oct. 14, debate on the McCain-Feingold campaign
>finance reform bill started in the Senate. While debate on the bill
>is supposed to continue until Tuesday of next week, we are expecting
>opponents of the bill to attempt to kill the legislation with a
>filibuster.
>In order to end the filibuster (a successful tactic for reform opponents
>last year), 60 votes will be needed to bring the bill to a vote-- and
>your help is needed.
>
>This is your chance to make your voice heard. Our website offers a Take
>Action utility: just punch in your zip code and you can fax and email your
>Senators a letter urging them to vote for McCain-Feingold and to vote
>against the filibuster. Encourage your family and friends to Take
