Toxic emissions from household burn barrels

I came across an interesting document posted by
the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
Air Quality Division concerning toxic emissions from
household burn barrels....both absolute emissions and
comparisons to recent vintage municipal waste combustors.....

...Interesting...

Unfortunately, there is very little emphasis from citizen
environmental organizations on this sources of toxic emissions.

A recent paper in Environmental Science and Technologies
shows modelling results indicating that open burning in Britain
contributes a significant amount of the total estimated amount
of PCDD/PCDF toxic pollution in that country.
