A far safer alternative is using waste to generate ethanol, that 
can be used to dilute the carcinogens in gasoline, and give 
cleaner burning fuel.  I was shocked to see last year that 
England is still using leaded gasoline.  That needs to go 
immediately, and ethanol would be the appropriate replacement,
as long as the vapor pressure issue is not tampered with--
12.5 volume percent ethanol increases the vapor pressure of 
gasoline, but using either 6 or 18 percent keeps it within 
relatively safe bounds, a curiosity of physics working there.
Why burn garbage, when it can be used to make the 
environment safer?
