Explain these standards

gr/dscf - grains per dry standard cubic feet; mg/dscm - milligrams per dry
standard cubic metre, ppmv -parts per million by volume

For the first line:
gr/dscf - grains per dry standard cubic feet -> graMs per dry standard
cubic foot of air
mg/dscm - milligrams per dry standard cubic metre Of incinerator effluent
air
ppmv -parts per million by volume Of incinerator effluent air

The difficulty you face is even greater than that, however, as the US
standards do 
not protect human health adequately in any sense of the word.  However, not
to 
have any standards could raise the death rate from these things perhaps
more than 
ten fold.  Someone tried to "donate" a incinerator from Washington, DC, to
Honduras,
without advising them that it had not even passed the US standards and was
being 
phased out in the US.  Beware!
