And I hear there are still some fishers fishing there 
near or on the Harrison Bridge over the Passaic River.  
The NJDEP did a walkaround survey on 
Newark Bay just downstream about a year or so ago 
and found four hundred people were fishing there, 
even though it was posted 'No Fishing or Crabbing  
due to dioxins, PCBs, and chlordane.'  200 of 
the fishers even agreed to be interviewed.  The DEP 
had a one minute television spot warning against 
fishing/crabbing that had 
been funded by the EPA, in English (actually
the English one was 30 seconds long), 
Spanish and Portuguese, but never completed 
the project.  It was to go on all local television 
channels as a public service announcement.  A citizen 
advisory panel screened the first draft, but sadly 
no further drafts came our way.  The tragedy continues.
