Agent Orange: "A case of Flaw Science and Political Manipulation"

Hall of Shame......

============================
"Report to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs,
the Honorable Edward J. Derwinski.

>From the Special Assistant:
Agent Orange Issues

Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt, Jr. USN (RET.)

First Report
5 May 1990"
============================

Jon

Thanks for posting the site:
http://www.gulfwarvets.com/ao.html

The report is real as I received a copy
directly from a concerned party a number
of years ago.

The site is run by friends of Capt. Joyce Riley
who has been lobbying for proper care and
treatment of all Vets including Gulf War Vets
and Viet Nam Vets. She has put tremendous
time, effort and most of her money in this work.

Coverup
The formally classified report is by Admiral E.R. Zumwalt
who authorized the spraying of Agent Orange
in Viet Nam, lost his Naval Officer son to dioxin
poisoning and his grandchildren have birth
defects.

The Report was submitted to Congress and
you can find the Congressional Committee
conclusions in the Congressional Register
in your local Federal Depository Library:

Too bad characters like US Rep. Dana
Rohrabacher (R-CA45) and US Rep. Tilley
Fowler (R-FL4) worked to make the EPA
Dioxin Health Assessment [EPA/600/BP-92/001c,
August 1994] "Draft" forever.

They both worked as interns for Dick Nixon to try
to "handle" the Watergate situation. Fowler was
on the EPA site for releasing styrene during the
1994 reassessment of dioxin health effects.
On EPAs community toxins search engine maps,
go to Northeast Florida, Jacksonville then
Atlantic Beach, Florida zipp 32233 Fowler Manufacturing.

Note that styrene has benzene rings just like dioxin.

Dana kept the EPA Report "Draft" in spite of
Admiral Zumwalt's investigations and his second
submittal of your subject report to Dana's
Committee in 1995.

Written on the Admiral's stationary, in part:

Statement by Armiral E. R. Zumwalt, Jr. USN (Ret.)
Chairman, Agent Orange Coordinating Council
before the
House Subcommittee on Energy and Environment
Sept. 13, 1995

.......
"It is a source of deep concern that the Science Advisory
Board reviewing EPA's draft of reassessment of dioxin has
not been selected on the same basis as the IOM (Institute
of Medicine] panel, but rather contains as members and
consultants scientists who have accepted in one form or
another financial support from corporations who have a
strong interest in finding negative correlation between dioxin
and health effects."

......

Sounds like a time for "a crimes against mankind" trial
in the Hague, Holland.

PS Toxic Tilley Fowler just broke her written
promise to abide by an 8 year term limit.

Fowler presided over the Jacksonville City Council
before serving in Congress when the state told the city
to warn residents about massive amounts of PCB,
dioxin, arsenic, lead contaminated incinerator
ash that was dumped in poor neighborhoods
from about 1948 to about 1956. Subsequently
houses and schools were built on these sites
and Jacksonville drops out about 52% of students.
(ADD, ADHD and other proformance affecting
neuropsychological symptoms).

During Tilley's reign, the city refused to inform
the residents of the danger.

The Florida Dept of Public Health was part of
this mess and still says the land is safe for
children in spite of this agency issueing a
draft Health Assessment report stating that
the TEQ on a school play area is 350 times
there "screening value."

I suggest we all spread the word about Capt.
Joyce Riley's site.

As pentachlorophenol-dioxin poisoned
Gary Massey says "This scandel is so
big and preverts so many people in power,
all citizens need to work together to correct
it."

You might want to write your Congressmen
& the State of Florida and also consider
running for Congress.
