Welcome to the PBTChemFocus Listserver. Our goal is to provide a forum for
exchanging information on RCRA Waste Minimization and the prioritization
and reduction of persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic (PBT) chemicals in
hazardous waste. More and more businesses, governments, and other
organizations are taking steps to minimize PBT chemicals in hazardous waste
in support of the Waste Minimization National Plan (WMNP), which aims to
reduce by 50% the most PBT chemicals in the nationís hazardous waste. Use
this forum to share information on such topics as your successes with
managing priority chemicals, or use of chemical substitutes and alternative
technologies to reduce the use of PBT chemicals in hazardous waste; to
learn from your colleaguesí experience in prioritizing and reducing PBT
chemicals; to discuss available data on concentrations of PBT chemicals in
various wastestreams; and more...
