Conference is cancelled

The conference on Corporate and Industry Influences on Children's
Development is cancelled because of Hurricane Floyd.  It will be
rescheduled.  Following is a note from Velma LaPoint and Priscilla
Hambrick-Dixon:

> Children's Development is canceled due to bad weather--Howard University
> is closed today.  Many of the presenters and audience members would be
> traveling today--both for sessions this afternoon and tomorrow--and
> there are reports of poor transportation conditions by air, rail and
> ground. Given these conditions, the event will be rescheduled fro a
> later date.  You will be provided with re-scheduling information in a
> timely manner. We have received an overwhelming response to participate
> in this event and we are most appreciative of the support. We apologise
> for any inconvience that you may experience due the cancelation.
