Re: Pretty park: sincere apologies
At 10:49 AM 9/28/99 -0400, you wrote:
I want to apologise to everyone

"pretty park"-virus.
This virus must have installed itself on my PC when I opened
this e-mail attachment myself yesterday. Since it came from a colleague,
I was not suspicious about its contents - my mistake, I admit.
Once installed, this virus automatically forwarded itself -
beyond my control - to everyone who is in my address book.
It was only when I read your reactions earlier today, that I realised the
problem and its extent.
I wish to stress that, obviously, it has never been my
intention to cause any problems by spreading a malicious virus. The only
reason this could happen is probably the fact that the anti-virus systems
in my organisation are outdated.
In the mean time, the necessary steps have been taken to
remove the virus. Nevertheless, I want to sincerely apologise for any
inconvenience this virus may have caused. I will give it my utmost best
to make sure things like this will never happen again.
